We specialise in the recovery and repair of all types of furniture, cushion replacement, leather repairs and French polishing.

Gems Re-Upholstery cover all areas throughout Glasgow and Ayrshire within a 30 mile radius of Glasgow.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Gems Reupholstery website (gemsreupholstery.com) and your engagement with our services. By accessing our website, using our services, or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  • “Services” refers to the upholstery, re-covering, restoration, and related services offered by Gems Reupholstery.
  • “Goods” refers to any materials, fabrics, or products supplied by Gems Reupholstery as part of the Services.

  • “Quotation” refers to a written estimate provided by Gems Reupholstery for the cost of Services.
  • “Order” is your request for Gems Reupholstery to provide Services, based on an accepted Quotation.

2. Quotations and Orders

  • All Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
  • Quotations are based on the information provided by the Customer and our assessment of the work required. We reserve the right to amend a Quotation if the scope of the work changes.
  • An Order is only binding when accepted by Gems Reupholstery in writing (e.g., by email).
  • Acceptance of a Quotation implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

3. Payment Terms

  • A deposit of the total quoted price may be required upon acceptance of the Order.
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the Services and delivery of the Goods (if applicable).

4. Collection and Delivery.

  • We will agree on a collection and delivery date with the Customer. We will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the agreed dates, but we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring that furniture is accessible for collection and that there is adequate access for delivery.
  • We may charge an additional fee for collection and delivery.

5. Materials and Fabrics

  • We can assist the Customer in sourcing fabrics, but we are not responsible for the quality or suitability of fabrics chosen by the Customer. Fabrics will otherwise be chosen by us for quality guarantees.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to match fabrics accurately, but variations in colour and texture may occur.
  • The Customer warrants that any fabrics supplied by them do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

6. Services and Workmanship

  • We will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to complete the Services within the agreed timeframe, but we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  • We reserve the right to make minor alterations to the design or specifications of the Services without prior notice, provided that these alterations do not materially affect the quality or functionality of the Services.
  • The customer is responsible for moving furniture out of areas of the shop that are for our use to perform the service.

7. Liability

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage to furniture or property during collection, delivery, or while in our possession, except to the extent caused by our negligence.
  • Our liability for any breach of these Terms and Conditions is limited to the total price paid by the Customer for the Services.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

8. Cancellations and Amendments

  • The Customer may cancel an Order by providing written notice to Gems Reupholstery.
  • If the Customer cancels an Order after work has commenced, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover our costs.
  • We reserve the right to cancel an Order if we are unable to complete the Services due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • Any amendments to an Order must be agreed upon in writing by both Gems Reupholstery and the Customer.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property rights in our website and Services are owned by Gems Reupholstery.
  • The Customer may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any of our content without our prior written consent.

10. Data Protection

  • We will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
